Set up by the Referees Committee of UAFA .. “Video Assistant Referee Technology” .. in an educational workshop for media professionals

Within the workshops accompanying King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs 2023, an educational workshop for media professionals on the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology was held at the main media center in King Fahd Sports City in Taif, presented by the Referees Committee.

The member of the Referees Committee of the Union of Arab Football Associations, Khalil Jalal, reviewed the axes of the workshop, in the presence of Dr. Raja Allah Al-Salami, Secretary General of UAFA, the Director of the Ministry of Sports Branch in Taif, Mr. Abdullah Al-Zaidi, and the President of the Referees Committee of UAFA, Mr. Hani Ballan, and in the presence of Arab arbitration experts: Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Zaid, Mr. Omar Al-Muhanna, Mr. Samir Othman, and Mr. Abdullah Al-Qahtani.

The member of the Referees Committee of the Union of Arab Football Associations, Mohamed Kazaz, also reviewed the tasks and work of video assistant referees in matches, followed by a field explanation of the work of the VAR technology devices on the field.
