Saudi Arabia and Morocco win at the start of the Arab Beach Soccer Championship 2023
In the presence of His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Sports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Professor Abdul-Ilah Al-Dallak, the Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Football Associations, Dr. Raja Allah Al-Salami, and the Secretary-General of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, Mr Ibrahim Al Kassim, the fourth edition of the Arab Beach Soccer Championship, which is being organized by UAFA, and hosted by SAFF in Jeddah kicked off today, Thursday, as It will be played from 11 to 20 May, at Al-Hamra Corniche Stadium.
In the first group, Saudi national team defeated Mauritania 7-3, and Morocco defeated Lebanon 9-5.
In the first match, the goals of the Saudi national team were scored by Khaled Mudayi, Islam Siraj, Faisal Al-Yami (3 goals), Majid Shahmani and Bilal Bouda, while the goals of Mauritanian national team came through Sidi Al-Imam, Olayoun Zuwaid and Al-Sheikh Belkhir.
In the second match, the goals of the Moroccan national team were scored by Zuhair Jabari, Suhail Bassak (5 goals), Anwar Ferendi (two goals) and Badr Al-Freishli, while the goals of the Lebanese national team were scored by Mohamed Merhi (two goals), Mohamed Haidar (two goals) and Ahmed Al-Khatib.
With these results, the Moroccan and Saudi national teams lead the first group standings with 3 points each, followed by the Mauritanian and Lebanese national teams without points.
