Algeria and Morocco compete in the U-17 Arab Cup 2022 final tomorrow
The competitions of the fourth edition of the U-17 Arab Cup 2022, organized by the Union of Arab Football Associations and hosted by the Algerian Football Federation, will be concluded tomorrow, Thursday, with the final match between Algeria and Morocco at Al-Siq Stadium in Mascara province.
The U-17 Arab Cup started on August 23, and is the third of the Union of Arab Football Associations competitions this season, after the Arab Futsal Cup and the U-20 Arab Cup.
Algeria topped Group A standings during the first round, after collecting 9 points from 3 victories against Palestine (5-0), Sudan (2-0) and UAE (3-0).
In the quarter-finals, Algeria national team defeated Tunisia 3-1 on penalties, after the end of the regular time of the match with a 1-1 draw.
In the semi-finals, Algeria defeated Saudi Arabia 5-4 on penalties, after the match ended in a goalless draw.
On the other hand, Morocco finished as a runner-up in Group C with 6 points, which were collected from the loss against Iraq (1-2), and the victory over Mauritania and Comoros with the same result (1-0).
In the quarter-finals, Morocco national team defeated Egypt 2-0, to qualify for the semi-finals and win with the same result over Yemen national team.
