Algeria, Sudan, Yemen and Tunisia qualify for the quarter finals of the U-17 Arab Cup

Algeria, Sudan, Yemen and Tunisia qualified for the quarter finals of the U-17 Arab Cup 2022, which will be held in Oran, Algeria, from August 23 to September 8.

In the first group at Al-Siq Stadium, Algeria defeated UAE national team 3-0, as goals scored by Mohamed Abdel-Mojib, Fathi Kasasi and Anatov Muslim.

In the same group at Mostaganem Stadium, Sudan defeated Palestine with the same score (3-0), as Musab Ahmed, Musa Ali and Monzer Saber scored the goals.

With these results, Algeria are at the top of Group A with 9 points out of 3 victories, followed by Sudan with 6 points, then UAE and Palestine with one point each.

In the second group, at Al-Siq Stadium, Tunisia beat Oman 2-1, as Anas Al-Amdouni and Muhammad Karim scored for Tunisia, while Oman’s goal came through Abdullah Al-Sharqi.

Within the same group at Mostaganem Stadium, a 1-1 draw settled the match between Libya and Yemen, as the goal of Libya was scored by Abdelmoumen Al-Mabrouk, while Yemen’s goal came by Anwar Al-Tariqi.

With these results, Yemen national team lead the group with 5 points, equally with Tunisia, followed by Libya with the same balance, and then Oman national team without points.

Tunisia national team, along with Yemen, qualified for the quarter-finals, beating Libya on the fair play rule.

The group stage will conclude on Tuesday, as Morocco will face Comoros, Mauritania with Iraq in Group C, Egypt against Syria, and Lebanon with Saudi Arabia in Group D.
