Joint Cooperation Agreement Between the Union of Arab Football Associations and the West Asian Football Federation.. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Praises the UAFA Exhibition in Doha
Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister of Sports and Second Deputy President of the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA), visited the UAFA exhibition currently being held in Doha.
During the visit, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa reviewed the exhibition’s contents in the presence of Dr. Raja Allah Al-Salmi, Secretary General of the Union of Arab Football Associations, and Assistant Secretary General Mr. Mubarak Al-Dhufyan. He expressed his appreciation for the exhibition, which highlights the rich historical legacy of UAFA and its various competitions, praising both the historical value of the exhibition and the efforts of the UAFA General Secretariat.
The exhibition was also visited by Sheikh Faisal bin Ahmed Al Thani, Chairman of the Sports Media Committee in the State of Qatar, along with a number of Arab media professionals.
In another development, the Union of Arab Football Associations and the West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) signed a joint cooperation agreement earlier today, Thursday, in the Qatari capital Doha, in the presence of Dr. Raja Allah Al-Salmi, Secretary General of UAFA, and Mr. Khalil Al-Salem, Secretary General of WAFF.
The agreement aims to organize joint tournaments between the two federations across various competitions, contribute to the development of Arab football in Asia and Africa, and enable Arab players to gain valuable experience by providing greater opportunities for competitive exposure.
The agreement also seeks to organize joint courses and workshops in administrative, technical, medical, and refereeing fields, contributing to the overall development of all sectors related to Arab football.
