The Union of Arab Football Associations has issued the schedule of the group stage matches of King Salman Cup for Arab Clubs 2023, to be held from July 27 to August 12, in Saudi Arabia, and organized by the Union of Arab Football Associations and hosted by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation.
It was decided to hold two home and away matches between Al-Hilal from Sudan and Club Sportif Sfaxien from Tunisia on July 4 and 7, to decide which tema qualifies for the group stage of the tournament.
The group stage matches will be between July 27 and August 3, while the quarter-final matches will be held on August 5 and 6, and the semi-final will be played on the 9th of the same month, and the final match will be held on Saturday, August 12, to decide the champion which will be crowned with this title.
The first group includes Al-Ittihad from Saudi Arabia, Al-Shorta from Iraq, and Esperence from Tunisia along with the qualifier from the Tunisian team Sfaxien and the Sudanese team Al-Hilal.
The second group includes the Saudi team Al-Hilal, the Libyan team Al-Ahli Tripoli, the Qatari team Al-Sadd and the Moroccan team Wydad.
The third group includes Al-Nassr and Al-Shabab from Saudi Arabia, the Egyptian team Zamalek and the Tunisian team US Monastir.
The fourth group includes the Algerian team CR Belouizdad, the Moroccan team Raja, the Kuwaiti team Kuwait and Al-Wahda from UAE.
It is noteworthy that the Moroccan team, Raja, won the title of the last edition of the tournament, which was called “Mohammed VI Champions Cup”, while the tournament prizes amount is 10 million dollars, as the winner of the title will receive 6 million dollars.
