Semi-final coaches: The tournament is an exceptional opportunity, and the title is a dream for everyone
Today, Saturday, press conferences for the two semi-final matches of the U-17 Arab Cup 2022, organized by the Union of Arab Football Associations and hosted by the Algerian Football Federation, were held.
The Saudi national team coach, Abdel Wahab Al-Harbi, said: “We congratulate the teams that qualified for the semi-finals, and I wish success to all the teams that have left the tournament, the level of competition is very great in that tournament, and I am happy with the performance of the players with each match, especially after the rotation process between them, we will play a balanced match in front of the strong and organized Algerian national team, I think that the style of play of the two teams is very similar in terms of the way they play and the skills.”
He added: “The Algerian national team may outperform us in terms of physicality after their players rest for one day more, and are playing the match among their fans, but we also have players capable of achieving victory, we played matches earlier in front of 20 thousand spectators and we are ready for the same, these are the conditions to play a match worthy of both sides.”
For his part, Algeria coach Arezki Roman said: “I thank the Union of Arab Football Associations for organizing this tournament, which helps us prepare well for all the official events in Africa and Asia, and it is a unique and wonderful opportunity to interact with the different football schools with the Arab brothers”.
Yemen coach Muhammad Al-Baadani said: “I am very proud of reaching the semi-finals, we feel very happy to participate in that tournament without any pressure, although we always play to win, and do everything we have to win every match to make the Yemeni people happy.”
He stressed: “We are going through very difficult circumstances, but we are used to a harsh life, here we represent a great country with a great history, and we feel very proud to reach the semi-finals, which is an achievement, because we were not candidates for that in the eyes of many.”
Morocco coach Said Shaiba said: “We are happy with the level we have presented in the tournament, and we had to be patient and humble in order to reduce the danger of Egypt in the quarter-finals, the teams that reached the last four have equal chances of winning the title.”
He concluded by saying: “Every team has a right to strive for the title, for our part, we did not play any easy match, but the difficulty differs from one competitor to another, the Yemeni national team have wonderful and advanced talents and deserve all our respect and appreciation.”
