Egypt beat Lebanon, Saudi Arabia beat Syria, Morocco beat Mauritania, Iraq beat Comoros at the conclusion of the second round of the U-17 Arab Cup 2022 groups

Today, Saturday, the second round of the group stage of the U-17 Arab Cup 2022 was completed, which is being held in Oran, Algeria, from August 23 to September 8.

In Group D, at Mostaganem Stadium, Saudi Arabia beat Syria 4-3, as the goals of the Saudi national team were scored by Ammar Al-Yahibi, Muhammad Hazazi, Talal Haji and Nawaf Al-Bishri, while the goals of Syria national team came through Kawa Issa (two goals) and Anas Dahan.

At the same group at Al-Siq Stadium, Egypt achieved a 9-0 victory over Lebanon.

The goals of the Egyptian national team were scored by Ahmed Mohamed, Omar Hamdeen (two goals), Ibrahim Mohamed, Mabrouk Mohamed, Hossam Abdel Karim, Ali Riyad, Omar Sayed Moawad and Hisham Haddad.

With these results, Egypt’s score rises to 6 points at the top of Group D standings, followed by the Saudi national team with 3 points, and then Syria and Lebanon with one point each.

In Group C, at Al-Siq Stadium, Morocco defeated Mauritania 1-0, scored by Mohamed Arshidi.

At the same group at Mostaganem Stadium, Iraq won 2-1 over Comoros.

Ali Akbar Al-Daraji scored the two goals of the Iraqi national team, while the goal of Comoros came through Seif Al-Din Ahmed.

With these results, Iraq national team lead the group standings with 6 points, followed by Morocco and Comoros with 3 points each, and then Mauritania national team without points.

The teams will have a rest on Sunday, before the third and final round of the group stage matches will take place on Monday and Tuesday.
